Reduced pesticide risk in commercial fruit production is a priority for EMB Citrus' agricultural program.

We have implemented a pesticide plan that is similar to Integrated Pest Management [IPM] programs used widely in citrus agriculture.

We monitor pest populations during the year to determine when to apply pesticides and exactly what pesticide will best control specific pests - with close attention given to environmental and worker risk.

We are providing our chemical pest control technologies to local farmers to help them control long horn beetles in commercial citrus groves.

We are also working with a local chemical company to develop organic products that have no detectable chemical residues in mature fruits or the environment.
